Visit from Malawi delegation

Earlier this month Primoris was visited  by a Malawi delegation, formed by Mr. Calvin Kamchacha (director, Tradeline Corporation), Ms. Chiku Ncozang (semi-commercial farmer) and Mr. Tsogoloni Isaac Kadya (smallholder farmer). They were accompanied by former Primoris chairman Noël Keersebilck and Johan Cottenie, expert in development cooperation in the NGO sector.

This visit was part of a familiarisation with the entire supply chain, starting at vegetable production, all the way to commercialisation. Ultimately, the goal is to create an infrastructure around Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe, granting around 900 vegetable farmers from outside the city access to the capital’s market. The visit to Primoris helped, amongst other things, to get a grasp of the efforts needed to be able to guarantee food safety and protect the credibility of Malawi’s vegetable farmers.

During their visit, they received information on Primoris’ history, processes and activities, which are all dedicated to supporting food safety, product quality and sustainability. Afterwards, they received a tour of our laboratory.
